The Guardian may be the weakest of Elden Ring Nightreign’s eight character classes. Or so you believe; in reality, it isn’t true.

OVERVIEW
- Although they appear to be somewhat weak, the Guardian is one of the proper classes in Elden Ring Nightreign.
- In actuality, however, the Guardian becomes a top-tier support once his Remembrance questline is finished.
- Relics that significantly increase the character’s utility and skill set are unlocked by the quest rewards.
FromSoft’s attempt at an online cooperative roguelike game, Elden Ring Nightreign, offers eight distinct character classes, referred to as Nightfarers. And although you would think that each class would have advantages and disadvantages of its own, up until now, the Guardian has seemed to be fine.
A recent Reddit post claims that if you finish the Guardian’s Remembrance questline, it can be incredibly helpful. Relics that can enhance the Guardian’s powers are hidden behind the mythology and legend. Now is the perfect moment to give this Nightfarer a try.
There is a lot of promise for the Guardian class in Elden Ring Nightreign.

You’ll see right away that Guardian might not seem like a very good choice. Even his purported role as a tank seems to be acceptable, and his damage output is respectable when compared to other classes. He was obviously built for a more tanky and crowd-controlling role on the team, as evidenced by his stats that favor Health (S) and Stamina (A). There is more to the Guardian than that, though, as one player discovered.
Just two days after the game’s release, a Reddit user claims that in order for Guardian to function, you must unlock all four Remembrance rewards. He is now the best frontline and crowd manager thanks to his enhanced skills and abilities. You’re even capable of healing!
Players must complete a number of requirements before they can even start the questline, such as obtaining the Revenant character (which is necessary for Chapter 8), farming memory fragments by defeating Nightlords, and unlocking the journal at Roundtable Hold.
We must defeat the Guardian Golem in Chapter 4 in order to obtain the Stone Stake. The Guardian’s Chalice is given to us in Chapter 6 after an enigmatic guest dies in the Roundtable Hold. We must locate and vanquish the Demon Merchant for a tome in Chapter 7 in order to obtain the Third Volume relic.
Only when we have enough memory fragments and the Revenant unlocked can we unlock Chapter 9. At the end of the questline, the Guardian grants us the Witch’s Brooch and a special skin after forgiving the Recluse.
Don’t forget to complete the Nightreign Remembrance quests.

The Guardian’s skills are greatly enhanced by these new relics. The Steel Guard reflects damage back to enemies while blocking enemy attacks with little loss of stamina. Whirlwind has a quicker cooldown and a longer duration. You can revive downed allies with complete immunity and heal allies in an AoE with Wings of Salvation.
The Guardian’s late-game build demonstrates that utility and survivability are equally important, especially in well-coordinated trios, despite the fact that games and players frequently concentrate on which class can deal the most damage. Having a Guardian on the team may also become required for future high-tier content because the game may get more difficult over time.
The game’s first update since its release was just released, and it also revealed that 3.5 million copies have been sold. The patch should balance the experience and makes many improvements for solo players. Going back to the Guardian, it might be time to change your mind.
