Fallout Season 2 Must Include the One Weapon That Bethesda and Todd Howard Didn’t Include in S1

It would be unfortunate if this one recognizable post-apocalyptic weapon, which is Gauss weapon wasn’t included in Fallout Season 2. This is really necessary for the show, Todd Howard.

OVERVIEW

  • Fallout Season 1 on Prime Video is regarded as one of the greatest video game adaptations.
  • However, the Fallout TV show failed to feature one of the best weapons of the post-apocalyptic verse.
  • It would be unfortunate if Fallout Season 2 didn’t include this weapon, carrying on the tradition.

The first season of Fallout was released in April 2023, and despite the negative reputation that video game adaptations had previously gained, the TV show was able to master every aspect. Everything that made the Bethesda game so famous was present, including gripping characters and storytelling components.

It should come as no surprise that fans are enthusiastic about Fallout Season 2 given the popularity of the first season. It has a confirmed release date and is nearly finished with production. As long as it includes one of the most recognizable Fallout weapons, its success is all but assured, even though we have no idea what it might bring to the table.

Why Fallout Season 2 must feature this legendary weapon

Players can find and alter a variety of weapons in the Fallout franchise’s post-apocalyptic world. Enemies that threaten the wasteland can be reduced to mincemeat in a matter of seconds with strong weapons, and let’s face it, this is quite satisfying for obvious reasons.

The Gauss Rifle is without a doubt one of the greatest weapons available in the Fallout series. What makes this rifle so exceptional? That’s because it accelerates projectiles at extremely high speeds using magnetic coils. It can, in short, eliminate large foes on the battlefield. Because of its long range and ability to penetrate armor, this rifle stands out in the wasteland.

The majority of Enclave soldiers and even the Brotherhood of Steel in video games like Fallout 4 use Gauss rifles. Several NCR veterans have also been spotted holding the weapon. It was surprising that Todd Howard and his team decided not to include this weapon in the first season of the TV show because it is a fan favorite.

Many energy weapons, including the Gauss rifle, were omitted from Fallout TV because it is thought that the show lacked the funding for special effects. Although it was never used on-screen, Moldaver is seen holding a laser pistol if you rewatch the series. The absence of energy weapons in the first season appears to be a covert cost-cutting strategy.

This isn’t shocking because video game adaptations frequently didn’t work out, and Prime Video probably didn’t have a strong opinion of the Fallout series either, so they didn’t invest enough money in them. But since Fallout is the talk of the town right now, there’s no reason to give up on such important weapons for the post-apocalyptic world in the show.

The second season of Fallout is quickly approaching.

The past few months have seen Walt Goggins everywhere, promoting Fallout Season 2. The actor claims that it will be far superior to what we saw in the first season. Although hearing that was very exciting, fans were irritated because the release date for the second season was not confirmed.

Thankfully, the December release date of Fallout Season 2 has finally been confirmed. Many fans were worried that the show might not air until 2026, so this is a huge relief. The shocking thing is that Prime Video has acknowledged that a third season has already been approved.

It’s encouraging to know that the Bethesda series would not be canceled at a time when more and more shows are being canceled. In order to create even more excitement among fans, let’s hope Howard and his team can also introduce a new entry into the franchise at the same time as the new season.
