Cyclops, the mutant leader of the X-Men, could be a great addition to Marvel Rivals, especially when it comes to flying units.

OVERVIEW
- The conclusion of Season 3 presents Marvel Rivals with a special chance.
- Cyclops should be added to the game with the Season 3 update.
- Cyclops can eliminate airborne units on their own.
Marvel Rivals has been dominating the market lately, and despite a few setbacks, NetEase Games’ entry into the AAA live-service industry appears to be going pretty well. However, Ultron was a letdown, and many players have not been happy about the addition of yet another flying “hero” to the meta.
Specifically, there is currently no way to deal with flying enemies in Marvel Rivals, and the addition of one X-Man in the Season 3 update may make taking down flying targets comparatively easy.
Season 3 of Marvel Rivals ought to feature Cyclops.
Marvel Rivals’ third season will be out soon, and considering how disappointing the second half of Season 2 was, it had better be good. The almost total lack of a method to handle airborne units is one of the more frequent grievances voiced by both new players and seasoned players.

To be honest, dealing with airborne units is a pain, particularly if you’re using a character that can’t scale vertically, like Wolverine. Because of this, they pose a serious threat in combat, and for a while now, fans have been pleading with Netease Games to release anti-air units.
This is where Cyclops, the X-Men’s leader, enters the picture. Given that there have been a lot of X-Men in the game lately, adding Cyclops shouldn’t be difficult.
For those who do not know, Cyclops, also known as Scott Summers, is a mutant superhero who first appeared in the September 1963 issue of The X-Men. From his eyes, Cyclops can shoot concussive blasts that deal out amazing firepower and damage.

Since then, he has developed into the X-Men’s leader and is regarded by many as one of the most powerful figures in the Marvel Universe.
Cyclops is essentially an anti-flier unit because of his distinctive red optic visor, which allows him to shoot hard light beams at adversaries. The master tactician shouldn’t have any trouble shooting down those annoying flying units.
Naturally, in-game balance must be taken into consideration, and Cyclops must be designed with a few flaws in mind, or else it runs the risk of further disrupting the game’s meta and progression.
There are numerous things to implement, and Cyclops would make a very interesting character.
It would be an understatement to say Cyclops would revolutionize Marvel Rivals. With the right implementation, he could easily return flight-based heroes home.

First and foremost, Cyclops should deal damage mainly with his optic beams, which could be released in short bursts or with a long-range attack that has a much longer cooldown.
Because of his military background, Cyclops should also be an excellent hand-to-hand fighter, which should be useful. Cyclops and Emma Frost would be the most obvious choice in terms of team compositions.
Psylocke and Wolverine could also be suitable substitutes in this situation.
