Next month marks the release of the eagerly awaited follow-up, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, in which Hideo Kojima continues to push the limits of what is possible for human creativity to imagine and accomplish. In addition to a fresh plot, the ambitious follow-up promises more creativity, player autonomy, modernized graphics, and package delivery through breathtaking scenery in Australia and Mexico—all made possible by the Decima engine.
However, new enemy types pose a threat along with new content. Players will be put to the test as they battle unfathomable horrors in an attempt to save humanity in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which introduces dangerous new enemies. Don’t worry, though, because the game also offers new weapons to defeat these impending dangers.
In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Sam is haunted by new human adversaries and a new kind of BT.

According to a hands-on report of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach posted on the PlayStation blog, which offers fresh details about the eagerly awaited follow-up, a new kind of BT known as the “watcher” hunts Sam by spotting him and attacking by sight. In addition, a new group of human adversaries known as the “Armed Survivalists” makes their appearance and attacks Sam with deadly weapons.
It’s reasonable to assume that the sequel will be more difficult than the original game in some way given all of the new information that has surfaced. Kojima is also adding new weapon types to the game to make it easier for you to fight those enemies. Kojima appears to be following all the correct procedures and expanding upon the combat system that was established in the first game.
The sequel’s new weaponry facilitates encounters.

The PlayStation blog post goes into more detail about how players can defeat formidable foes, such as the BT or human adversaries, by utilizing the assortment of new weapons that are included in the sequel. Sam can now electrify enemies and vehicles using electrified poles, the MULE’s main weapon from the first game.
Sam can now use various holographic grenades in addition to the electrified poles to divert attention, frighten off adversaries, or completely avoid combat. According to the blog post, one type of holographic grenade is a BT holographic grenade, which uses a BT’s hologram to frighten away potential human enemies that might be invading a region. Keep in mind that your friend is your enemy’s holographic adversary!
Given that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach promises tactical espionage action reminiscent of Metal Gear, it appears that Hideo Kojima has taken note of players’ complaints regarding the first game’s lack of combat sections. He even acknowledged that Metal Gear Solid and the sequel shared a similar design ethos. Thus, Metal Gear fans are solely responsible for the transition in combat from Death Stranding to On the Beach.
